Carrie Ferroukhi

Carrie Ferroukhi has deep expertise in the financial needs of small to mid-size companies across many industries. Carrie’s blend of public accounting, private sector, and client service experience makes her uniquely qualified to not only strategize and advise, but to execute as well. Spending many years in interim chief accounting officer roles, she has a strong track record of delivering business and cultural change and has been responsible for hiring, managing, and growing back-office teams for all facets of finance and accounting departments.
Carrie has restructured finance teams to align responsibilities and create synergies under a shared services model; directed 45+ person team of Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Business Systems, and Shared Services including customer service, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. She has redesigned reporting frameworks, budget templates, and developed consistent global management tools to meet board and executive management requirements for analytical reporting and business reviews. She has managed accounting activities including consolidated financial statements for 35 legal entities operating in ten countries and completion of annual audits under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting.
Carrie has created consolidation models and implemented purchase accounting and integration workstreams around mergers and acquisitions. These workstreams include cash-to-accrual transitions, audit readiness, and account reconciliation process improvements and automation using technologies such as BlackLine and OneStream. She has coordinated with private equity firms, performing analyses required during due diligence procedures including carve-out financials for various periods. She has been responsible for all banking compliance including quarterly debt covenants, borrowing base certificate, and required annual financial statement compliance.
Prior to forming Arcus Advisors, Carrie worked at CenterPoint Energy, Inc. and Andersen, where she gained experience in financial reporting, general accounting, auditing and compliance. Specifically, this experience included preparation of SEC filings, building a new Hyperion structure, preparing entries and support for the CenterPoint Energy/Reliant Energy restructuring, and planning, administering and executing client audits.
Carrie earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University and serves as a member of FEI, ACG, Aggie Women, and the Women’s Energy Network.
